Privacy & Data Protection Policy
1. Information Collection & Purpose
We collect personal information (Name, Email, Phone, Business Details) via our website and Meta Lead Forms. This is collected under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) via Inferred Consent (when you inquire) or Express Consent (when you submit a form) to provide you with information about coworking services.
2. Victorian Surveillance Compliance
In accordance with the Surveillance Devices Act 1999 (VIC), A8 CoWorking notifies all members and visitors that CCTV is in operation:
· Notification: Clear signage is posted at all entrances to the Highett premises.
· Usage: Footage is recorded for safety and security only. We do not use surveillance to monitor private conversations or activities.
· Storage: Recordings are stored for a limited period (typically 30 days) unless required for an ongoing investigation.
3. Financial Data & PCI Compliance
We do not store credit card details on-site or in plain text. All financial data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant third-party providers. We comply with the Data Breach Notification scheme under Australian law; if your financial data is ever compromised via our providers, you will be notified immediately.
4. Victorian Health Records Compliance
To the extent that you provide us with any health-related information (e.g., accessibility requirements or emergency contact medical notes), we manage this in accordance with the Health Records Act 2001 (VIC). This information is treated with a higher level of confidentiality and is only accessible to essential staff.
5. Data Disclosure & Overseas Transfer
We use cloud-based services (like Meta, Google Workspace, and CRMs) to store data. Some of these servers may be located outside Australia. By using our services, you consent to this transfer, noting that we only use providers who maintain high security standards.
